Women in Planning and Oyster Partnership present –  Proud of Women Summer Social

Our Proud of Women event series celebrates women working in planning. On 8  July 2015 Women in Planning will be joined by Carol Rhea, President of the American Planning Association (APA).

This is an opportunity for our members to learn about the issues facing planners in the United States. Carol Rhea will also talk about her career and provide tips for women working in the built environment sector.

The presentation will be followed panel discussion chaired by Women in Planning’s own Mary Fortune. The panel will not only include Carol Rhea but Janet Askew, President of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and co-founder of Women in Planning Charlotte Morphet.

The event will culminate with our Summer Social drinks kindly sponsored by Oyster Partnership.

Date: 8 July 2015

Time: 18:30 – 21:00

Venue:  Gustave Tuck lecture theatre, University College London. The Summer Social will take place in UCL’s Garden Rooms.

About the speaker:

Carol Rhea is a founding partner of the Orion Planning Group, and previously created and staffed Rhea Consulting. In addition to her work as a consultant, Rhea has worked as a city, county, regional, and state planner. Her passion is helping local governments build planning capacity, and working with small to medium-sized communities to address planning challenges.
